Abstract

In this paper, the extraction of fission products from nitric acid media and affection of gamma ray irradiation on their extraction ability by OCLA is described. All studies about OCLA were compared with TBP at same experimental conditions. The rules of distribution ratios of fission products as a function of aqueous nitric acid concentration is similar for both OCLA and TBP. The distribution ratio of the main fission products with OCLA is higher than those with TBP. Moreover, OCLA has better stability to radiolysis than TBP. Especially, the influence of gamma irradiation on extraction of Zr by OCLA is much smaller than by TBP.
