Initial report on the species of weed occurrence in the turf of Zoysia tenuifolia in Guangzhou

Investigation of the weed species in Zoysia tenuifolia turf was carried out in 2001-2002 in Guangzhou,Guangdong Province.There were 136 weed species that belonged to 115 genera,48 families,and the 83% of them were broad-leaf weeds,only 14% were monocotyledon weeds.The serious harmful weeds were Alternanthera sessilis,Alternanthera philoxeroides,Oxalis corymbosa,Oxalis corniculata,Hydrocotyle sibthorpioides,Centella asiatica,Eclipta prostrata,Lindernia antipoda,Cyperus rotundus,Kyllinga brevifolia,Cynodon dactylon,Digitaria sanguinalis.
