ON ZHUANGZI'S PHILOSOPHIC CHARACTERS: CONTACTING WITH THE UNIVERSE'S SPIRITS BY ONESELF

Abstract

In troubled times, Zhuangzi had deeply and uniquely thought about the world. After the analysis of the causes of the bad life, Zhuangzi hoped to get to a new realm of life by being free and aloof in one's heart. In fact, from analysis and criticism to being free and aloof in beart, then to concerning and loving the world are three kinds of intensions of Zhuangzi's philosophic characters. Their value shows a new pursait of human's mental world, enlightening later generations on widening their life's field and seizing their life's quality much better.
