An Investigation on the Infection Rate of Syphilis and HIV among MSM Population from Public Bath

Objective To provide an overview of HIV / Syphilis virus infection in Men who have sex with men(MSM)and their sexual behavioral feature.Methods 219 MSM from 2 public baths were registered and screened for HIV and syphilis.Results The ages of 219 MSM were from 18 to 76 years old(35.6± 10.4 years).In 219 MSM,131 had marriage histories(59.81%).Syphilis and HIV positive rates were 20.09% and 15.53% respectively.15 people of HIV positive have been confirmed in surveillance;meanwhile,19 positive people were lost.Conclusion MSM in public bath is a high risk population of HIV transmission,which should be taken appropriate and practical measures to intervene.
