Abstract

[Objective]To investigate the diagnostic value of computerized tomographic angiography(CTA)and magnetic resonance angiography(MRA)for cerebral aneurysms.[Methods]CTA and MRA data of thirty-seven patients with cerebral aneurysms verified by digital subtraction angiography(DSA)and surgery data were retrospectively analysed. All patients were examined by CTA(19/37)or MRA(18/37).The source data were reconstructed by different methods.[Results]All the cerebral aneurysms verified by digital subtraction angiography(DSA)and surgery in these patients were detected by CTA or MRA examinations. After reconstructing,CTA/MRA could reveal the size, neck and axis pointing of the aneurysms, the relationship with the surrounding anatomic structures.CTA/MRA was as effective for aneurysms as that of DSA and surgery.[Conclusion]Both CTA and MRA examinations are the effective,non-invasive methods of imageology for diagnosing aneurysms,so they have important value in the diagnosis, selection of managements and follow-up of cerebral aneurysms.
