Abstract

Our life relies on the concept of absolute value. The construction of the concept of absolute value from the epistemological perspective faces this problem: How could our relative emotions make the concept of absolute value possible? From the epistemological perspective,Meinong and Husserl adopt the intentional theory brought up by Brentano and put forward their own approaches but their limitations still remain. In fact, the possibility of the concept of absolute value as the means of human existence lies in the social and historical pursuits of mankind.
