Abstract

Due to the difference of manufacturing process and the complex of operating environment, the battery's dispersion is gradually revealed, and battery's performance degradation and other undesirable phenomena are revealed. A new balance system, which combined of inter-cell passive balanced circuit and battery pack active balanced circuit, was presented. The battery energy transfer path was determined by the average voltage of the single cell and battery pack. The lithium battery model and equalization circuit model were created in Matlab/simulink for simulation. The simulation results show that the series battery equalization system can equalize battery pack during charging, discharging and static state efficiently. It is a full range of battery equalization technology which could effectively solve the problems of power battery's dispersion.
