Abstract
Objective To observe the efficacy and safety of probiotics on constipation and diarrhea.Method In the self-controlled trial of 30 d,77 patients with constipation and 87 patients with chronic diarrhea were orally administered probiotics particles.Gastrointestinal symptoms and adverse reactions were recorded and quantified before and after administration of the probiotics particles.Results After 30 d oral administration of probiotics,the effective rates for constipation and diarrhea patients were 71.4% and 77.0% respectively without any adverse effect.Conclusion Probiotics particles can improve the symptoms of diarrhea and constipation,and it is safe and well tolerated.
