Abstract
A particle image velocimetry (PIV) is used to measure and visualize the flow of a jet directed normal to a uniform and steady cross flow, there is a complex interaction between the two flows. The development and the trajectory of jet are given by the experimental data. The visualization of wake structure shows the significant differences between the jet and the cylinder as obstacles to the cross flow.
