Hegel in China:A Critical Review

How to understand Hegel's metaphysics or his Logik is essential to the comprehension of his philosophy.Because of our meager understanding of Hegelian metaphysics,the study of Hegel in China is not prosperous enough.Since the 1930s the Chinese scholars have been claiming that there was an inner connection between Hegelian ontology and theology and that Hegelian ontology was a “speculative creation.” One has to get clear about some of the basic concepts of Hegel's philosophy,either from the metaphysical or the epistemological prespective.Hegel's concept of Geist has intersubjective character from the beginning.His metaphysics and ontology are never the same as those before Kant.Hegel's concept of Gott has its own meaning.If we understand it from theology or absolute idealism,we will fail to obtain a proper comprehension of Hegel's philosophy.
