Abstract

Objective To investigate the relationship between brain natriuretic peptides(BNP) and diastolic heart failure. To investigate whether renal dysfunction and atria fibrillation could influence BNP level. Methods We diagnosed 67 patients with clinical heart failure syndromes as positive diastolic heart failure by the results of color doppler echocardiography and swan-ganz's flowing balloon catheter. Results Patients who were diagnosed as positive diastolic heart failure have higher BNP level than normal person, but lower than patients with systolic heart failure.Patients with renal dysfunction and atria fibrillation also have higher BNP level. Conclusion BNP level of patients with positive diastolic heart failure would increased,Renal dysfunction and atria fibrillation can also influence the level of BNP.
