AN ANALYSIS ON CHINESE AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTS TRADE DEVELOPMENT UNDER INTERNATIONAL AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTS TRADE POLICY

The challenges to Chinese agricultural products are more and more prominent as the transitional period of entering WTO comes to an end.The agricultural products import and export of increased greatly in 2003 and 2004 and the case is especially true with the agricultural products import because of a trade deficit.All of this results from Chinese government's promise of lowering customs duty and establishing import quota plus some domestic factors.Considering this,Chinese government should take reasonable measures to protect Chinese agricultural products trade on the basis of lowering customs duty and establishing import quota,and enhance the export competitiveness of agricultural products to bring about a balanced development of agricultural products.
