Abstract
Objective To investigate the complication and treatment of traumatic cataract extraction and posterior chamber intraocular lens implantation in children. Methods Traumatic cataract extraction and posterior chamber intraocular lens implantation were performed in 62 cases (62eyes) in children, analyzing the surgical complication of traumatic cataract extraction and posterior chamber intraocular lens implantation in children. Results After operation, the visual acuity improved in 57 eyes ,42eyes were followed up 6-24 months ,the visual acuity improved in 35 eyes,the surgical complication were hyphema, posterior capsular rupture , posterior capsular opacity, uvetis and luxation of IOL. Conclusion It is efficient to perform traumatic cataract extraction and posterior chamber intraocular lens implantation in children, the complication in children is more than that of adults. But if the measurement is correct the results is satisfactory.
