The Thought of Pragmatism and Landscape Poetry of Wei Yuan

There are not only unique features,but also prominent connotations in Wei Yuan's landscape poetry.Wei Yuan infiltrated the thought of pragmatism into his literary creation,which he had practiced all through his life,and promoted the claim of opposing the invasion from foreign countries,awaking people from ignorance,seeking measures of reforming later Qing dynasty's policies of irrigation works,water transportation,military affairs and so on to make it rich and build up its military power.Therefore,the thought of pragmatism not only had been the content of his landscape poetry,but also influenced the angle of his creation.
