Abstract
Effects of application amount of potassium fertilizer on plant growth, yield and marketability of Jiading Garlic were studied. The results indicated that a high K application could favor plant growth and maintain it strong. Such action was more obvious at the later stage of plant growth. As potassium fertilizer application increased, both the total yield and commodity garlic yield increased significantly, on the contrary, the percentage of dehiscent garlic and small garlic reduced distinctly. The optimum amount of potassium fertilizer (K_2O ) applied was 12~18 kg /666.7m~2.
