Implementation and Performance Analysis of an XQuery Processor Based on .NET

Abstract

An XQuery processor provides the operating case for querying XML documents with XQuery language.The functions,technical essences and realization codes of a general-purpose XQuery processor based on.NET were described.The technology of running and releasing an XQuery processor were introduced.The operation time of XQuery and SQL against numerous records of XML documents or databases were given and the operation performance of XQuery and SQL were compared and analysed.
