Su Shi Brothers' Military Thoughts and Frontier Tactics

Su Shi brothers got great achievement on their politics and literature. They also made contribution to military thoughts and frontier tactics. As regards military thinking, Su Shi had his own ideas on founding a state, commanding troops, frontier defence and so on in his early years, which were applied in his military practice. While Su Zhe had little comment on military in his early years, but he already showed his own ideas that was different with Su Shi's. From Emperor Shenzong to Emperor Zhezong of the Song Dynasty, the frontier strategies were obviously changed so that Su Shi brothers couldn't keep themselves away from it. On the strategy to the relationship between Xi Qiang and Xi Xia, though their opinions were more or less different, both of them paid much attention to it, and which clearly manifested their different tactics.
