Combined surgery of upper eyelid blepharoplasty and epicanthoplasty

Abstract
Objective For achieving the ideal appearance of the canthus and double upper eyelid,and to perform upper eyelid blepharoplasty and rectify the epicanthus simultaneouly.Methods The operation was performed by the method of fixing the canthal ligament on the lateral nasal aponeurosis using transverse incision combined with upper eyelid blepharoplasty.From Sep.2006 to Oct.2007,65 patients accepted this surgery.Results After 10 months follow-up,patients were satisfied with the corrected epicanthus and ideal double upper eyelid and obsolete postoperative scar.Conclusion This procedure combning upper eyelid blepharoplasty and epicanthoplasty is best way to correct epicanthus and single upper eyelid.
