Abstract

The non-core electronic companies had to face many difficulties during the implementation of VMI because they can not occupy the core position in the supply chain. They rarely can implement VMI successfully just because of there position dur-ing the supply chain. This article focuses on following subjects to make sure implement the VMI successfully: first, why the non-core electronics companies need to implement the VMI.Second, the feasibility of implementation analyzes.Third, how carry out the VMI in non-core companies? Fourth, the assessment after VMI implementation.Fifth, how remedy the situation of deficiencies during VMI implementation? Finally, introduce the benefits of implement the VMI in non-core companies through the examples. The example shows that the bullwhip effect is illustrated and the supply chain is optimized and the cost of logistic is reduced.
