On the Integration of Historical Materialism and Political Philosophy

According to the general academic understanding,historical materialism is totally different from political philosophy.Such a view is incorrect because historical materialism and political philosophy are related and integrated to each other.Firstly,Marxist historical materialism and political philosophy evolved from the same starting point ofnature;secondly,the concept of civil society integrates historical materialism and political philosophy;thirdly,the secret of Marx's political philosophy lies in the materialist conception of history.Clarifying the connection and integration of historical materialism and political philosophy is a significant issue not only concerning how to understand the philosophy of Marx in his texts,but also concerning how to perceive the relationship of branches of Marxist philosophy and how to promote Marxist philosophy in a comprehensive way.
