Ontological Significance of Han Yu's Literary Theory of Writing for the Sake of the Tao

Han Yu's literary theory is the major contributing factor for the advent of neo-Confucianism of the Song and Ming Dynasties because of his ontological exploration of the Confucian Tao.Compared to other critics such as Liu Xie and Zhu Xi,Han puts more emphasis on the ethical importance of literary writing,his theory of writing for the sake of the Tao being closely associated with the ideals of the Junzi,man of perfection in the Confucian doctrine.
