Analysis and Suggestions on the Implementation of Cooperative Learning in College English Class

Cooperative learning is a teaching strategy in which the common goal is achieved through group cooperation.As a breakthrough and supplement to the traditional teaching form,it has been widely used in the student-centered teaching class.However,its formality still exists seriously in English teaching class.The main reason is because many teachers don't fully understand the theory and techniques of cooperative and class activities can not enforce the true purpose and meaning of cooperative learning.By introducing the current study of cooperative learning both at home and abroad,this article discusses the existing problems in the application of cooperative learning in English teaching class and puts forward some strategies and methods based on the college English teaching practice.Its purpose is to better the current English teaching situation and promote student to study initiatively and efficiently under the guidance of teachers.
