Abstract
Research development on hydrogen isotope separation based on metal hydrides in recent 50 years,was briefly introduced.Equilibrium hydrogen isotope effect on absorbing metals or alloys was emphasized.Based on this hydrogen isotope effects,several hydrogen isotope separation methods have been developed.A reasonable suggestion for future development of hydrogen isotope separation was proposed.
