An Introduction to Schools in Germany,A Brief Introduction of Western Education,and A Brief Account of the Education in Seven Countries are representative works written by Western missionaries important for the studies of Western education available in the late Qing Dynasty.They not only introduced the contemporary Western school education system,their curriculum,contents of textbooks and methods of teaching,but also provided investigation reports of comparative studies of culture and education.These books were widely read by Chinese intellectuals offering important and far-reaching influence on China's modernization of education.
