Abstract

In order to verify the growth of the Pinus massoniana planted young forest,set up Four typical plots of the Pinus massoniana planted young forest which were located in Leli Forest Farm of Northwest Guangxi,the DBH and tree height of the Pinus massoniana planted young forest(4~11 years old)were studied for 8 consecutive years.The results were as follows:1)The total increment of DBH year by year was 5.50~12.27 cm,the equation between the DBH and the age was YDBH/cm =3.9383Ln(X林龄)+3.7132,current annual increment and mean increment of DBH were 0.77~2.23 cm and 1.10~1.31 cm.2).The total increment of tree height year by year was 3.53~11.73 m,the equation between the tree height and the age was YH/m=1.2186X林龄-1.5443,current annual increment and mean increment of tree height were 0.73~1.47 mand 0.88~1.08 m.3)The total volume of the Pinus massoniana year by year was 6.5~137.8m3/hm2,the equation between the total volume and the age was YV/m3/hm2 =0.0932X3.1119 age.current annual increment and mean increment were 5.0~25.0 m3/hm2 and 1.6~12.5m3/hm2.It fully shows that the Pinus massoniana planted young forest in the area was slow growing,the forest stand volume was lower.
