Abstract
Objective To investigate the value and indication of cholangiography through cystic duct in simple cholecystectomy. Methods The data of 486 cases of cholecystectomy from 1995 to 2005 were analysed retrospectively. The cholangiography through cystic duct was employed in every patient. Results 56 cases were found stones in the common duct through cholangiography, followed by explorating the common bile duct and removing the stones.23 cases had Calot's triangle inflammatory adhesion. The cystic duct residual and bile commen duct injury were obviated after cholangiography.Accessory hepatic duct ligation was avoided after cholangiography in 6 cases. Conclusion Routinal cholangiography through cystic duct in the cholecystectomy can find latent stone in the common duct and thus avoid unnecessary exploration of the biliary duct.Thereupon it may obviate unnecessary biliary duct exploration and injury and reduce residual stone effectively.
