Abstract

Objective:To scan and observe the degenerative lumbar facet joints through computed tomography and sum up the pathological changes. Methods:CT images of 88 patients with degenerative facet joints were collected. The facet joint and relative structure were observed. The incidence of every pathological changes were calculated and recorded respectively. Results:The pathological changes were in sequence:joint space narrowing, osteoporosis or sclerosis of the subchondral bone, osteophyte formation, vacuum joint, joint capsule calcification, sagittal articular orientation change, hypertrophy of articular processes, partial dislocation. Conclusion:It's convenient and reliable to observe the structure of the facet joint of lumbar spine through CT scanning, and summarizing pathological changes will be helpful for increasing the knowledge of the degenerative diseases of the lumbar spine.
