Abstract

Qing Jianfu was a writer of zaju(poetic drama set to music of the later part of the Yuan Dynasty). By investigating the realistic social life of the later part of the Yuan Dynasty, we can tap the profound social content and appreciate the peculiar creative style of making up dramatic stories, creating dramatic characters and depicting dramatic scenes.
