Abstract

[Objective] To discuss the influence of plasma working parameters on the emission spectral intensity of C,C2 and CN dissociated by acetic aicd in ICP-AES.[Methods] Under the different plasma working conditions, the emission spectral intensity of C,C2 and CN in different concentration of acetic acid was measured.[Results] The emission intensity of C was increased with the increase of power of plasma, and the magnitude of increased spectral intensity was related to the concentration of acetic acid. The emission intensity of CN was not related to the power of plasma. The emission intensity of C2 was in-creased with the increase of power of plasma, but was not significant. The emission intensity of C was decreased with the increase of the pressure of nebulizer gas,and the magnitude of decreased spectral intensity was related to the concentration of acetic acid. The emission intensity of C2 and CN was increased with the increase of the pressure of nebulizer gas.The emission intensity of C,C2 and CN was increased with the increase of the sample up-taking rate and then was kept constantly. The emission intensity of C was decreased with the increase of flow-rate of auxiliary gas,and was decreased by 24%-28% in the range of 0.5L /min-1.5L /min,and the magnitude of decreased spectral intensity was related to the concentration of acetic acid. The emission intensity of C2 and CN was not related to the change of flow-rate of auxiliary gas.[Conclusion] The plasma working parameters have different influence on the emission spectral intensity of C,C2 and CN dissociated by acetic aicd in ICP-AES.
