Abstract
Characteristics of climate change from 1951 to 2005 in Anshan were analyzed, including air temperature, precipitation, the highest and the lowest air temperatures, the first frost date, the latest frost date,frost-free season, accumulative temperature and soaking rain,in terms of linear trend method and wavelet analysis method. The results indicated that air temperature had an increasing trend, and precipitation and sunshine duration decreased during recent 55 years. The rising range of the mean lowest air temperature was more evident than that of the mean highest air temperature, and the temperature difference during one day decreased. The first frost date was delayed, the latest frost date was ahead, and the frost-free season was prolonged. The accumulative temperature obviously increased, and the late soaking rain and the extreme climatic events occurred frequently.
