Abstract
Objective to investigate the role of Th-17 cell in the tuberculous pleurisy patients. Methods we collected 30 primary tuberculous pleurisy patients,20 other other pleurisy patients and 20 healthy people as control. We collect their peripheral blood and pleural fluid for T cell culture, and use flow cytometry to identify ratio of Th17 and all T cell. Results we found Th17 would increase in the peripheral blood and pleural fluid of tuberculous pleurisy patients compared with non-tuberculous pleurisy patients and healthy people. And we further found after treatment, the Th-17 cell also decreased both in peripheral blood and pleural fluid. Conclusion our results suggested that Th-17 cell had its specific role in the tuberculous pleurisy, and had the potential to become a further diagnostic marker.
