Design and Development of A PROFIBUS PA OPC

Abstract

OPC is a system integration tool which is necessary to field bus.The study on PROFIBUS PA OPC server is not enough and it is hard to develop such a server.So this paper introduced a PA OPC server's developing model and then gave out the interfaces design.According the design,we set up PROFIBUS PA hardware platform,configured software and hardware and completed developing environment for OPC server.Drivers were developed for OPC server to access PA field bus.Then a PROFIBUS OPC server was built based on them.Commonly used control software was used to test the server.Test results showed that the PROFIBUS PA OPC server has complete functionalities and runs stably.The server will be used in a chemical plant in next step.
