Abstract
Tilapia is a kind of highly recommended acquaculture by the FAO. It has been transplanted in China since 1950 s,and has been through three stages: test-breeding stage( 1957- 1980),scale-cultivation stage( 1981- 1990) and comprehensive breeding stage( since1991). Nowadays,it has been developed to scale aquaculture industry. Tilapia aquaculture area has covered almost all over the country,with main area as Guangdong,Hainan and Guangxi. In 21 stcentury,oversea's countries have a buoyant demand for Tilapia,which create a necessary marketing condition for Chinese tilapia industry. In addition,because of inland provinces strong demand,tilapia aquaculture has been a very prospective breading industry with a vast marketing vision.
