A Model of Ecological Recycling Economy in Liaohe River Delta Wetland

Abstract

Liaohe River delta was one of the important wetland resources in China. With the rapid development of economy and society, exploitation of wetland resources such as soil, water, organisms, and minerals were increasingly serious. Over exploitation of wetland resources has led to severe wetland degradation and serious ecological imbalance. Therefore, how to protect and make good use of wetland resources and realize the benign ecological recycling economy has become an urgent problem. According to the objectives of assessment of sustainable development, five evaluation criteria were proposed for the model of ecological recycling economy, productivity, stability, protection, economic feasibility and social tolerance. Moreover, 3 models of ecological recycling economy were discussed in the paper.
