Abstract

Based on an in-depth analysis of the inherent contradictions of the capitalist production,Marx established the Social Development Theory, revealing the historical trend that socialism would replace capitalism.Although the development of capitalism does not match perfectly with Marx’s theory of social development, socialist factors have been increasing in the capitalist system by the continuous improvement and revision of contemporary capitalism. Moreover, along with the rise of theMiddle Way,which lays the foundation for the transition from capitalism to socialism, capitalism is doomed to be replaced by socialism sooner or later.
