Research on Mencius' Teacher and the Source of Ideas of Mencius and Zi Si

Academics generally believed that Mencius' thought comes from ZI Si,the thinking of ZI Si and Mencius comes from ZENG Zi or ZI You,but there is no conclusive evidence.On the basis of discrimination and interpretation of The Analects,Mencius,XUN Zi,ZHONG Gong(《仲弓》) in bamboo book from Shanghai museum,this article supported the view that Mencius' teacher was Zi Si's student,and further suggested that the teacher of ZI Si was ZI Gong.The benevolent idea of ZI Gong has an important role from Confucius's benevolence thought to Mencius' benevolent government thinking.
