Abstract
Cheng-Zhu Neo-Confucianism was a kind of official philosophy which had the longest ruling period and the deepest influence in Chinese feudal society.But at its developing period it was for forbidden several times for it was considered to be pseudo theory.Neo-Confucianism received heavy blow from Yuanyou Theory Prohibition in North Song Dynasty and Shaoxing Theory Prohibition and Qingyuan Theory Prohibition in South Song Dynasty. Anyhow, it was comparatively complete system of objective idealistic philosophy. There lies in it the positive efforts as well as its defects. Neo-Confucianism met the needs of the ruling class of the feudal society. Hence, the orthodox realization of Neo-Confucianism was a historical inevitability. It was determined to be substituted by democratic theories because of its idealistic quality.
