Discussion on the Compound Library──the Combination of the Traditional Library and the Digital Library

This paper discusses on the basic concept,the essential factors and the superiorities of the compound library,analyzes on the characteristics of the traditional library and the digital library,points out that the combination,coexistence and complementation of both of the traditional library and the digital library are beneficial to the whole development of the library cause,expounds the necessity of establishing the compound library,and puts forward some new models for the compound library in aspects of the resources construction,function,service,and talents,etc.
