Abstract
There are numerous forms of and statements about prairies in China, three of which stand out,i.e.the northern prairie with Inner Mongolia as its main part, the western prairie with Xinjiang as its principal part, and the plateau prairie with Tibet as its mainstay. As the long-history and vast prairies have bred the prairie culture, differences in the locality and the respective tribes of prairies have determined the diversity and complexity of prairie culture. However, under the concept of the prairie, some cultural peculiarities of the prairie can be found which are different from those of other places. And the unique culture also influences the prairie literature.
