Abstract
Based on the sources of main pollutants and analysis of pollution characteristics in Kuihe River catchment area, the amount of pollutants entering into the river were calculated and amended. The calculation of contributions of living, industrial and agricultural pollutants to Kuihe River showed that the pollutants mainly came from living, with the contribution rates of COD and ammonia-nitrogen were 89.3% and 93.5%,respectively,while industryand agriculture had the smaller proportion. Therefore,a comprehensive measure was designed to control the living pollution source, which was provided of a technical demonstration to water quality compliance of river without natural runoff.
