Comparison of the effect of nifedipine sustained-release tablet and nifedipine controlled-release tablet in hypertension

Abstract
Objective To compare clinical effect of nifedipine sustained-release tablet(SR)and nifedipine controlled-release tablet(GITS)in hypertension.Methods 112 cases of hypertension patients were randomly divided into GITS group and SR group,61 cases of each.SR group was given nifedipine SR 10mg,two times a day;GITS group was given nifedipine 30mg,once per day.Two groups were treated for 8 weeks.Observed blood pressure changes,trough/peak(T/P)ratio and adverse reaction.Results The total effective rate of GITS group(91.8%)was higher than that in SR group(80.3%)(P0.05);After treatment,blood pressure of two groups all decreased,heart rate(HR)of GITS group decreased,SR group increased,compared with after treatment,there was significant difference(P0.05).Blood pressure and HR of GITS group were lower than that in SR group(P0.05);SBP and DBP buck T/P ratio of GITS groups were 92.1% and 85.9%,SR group were 29.7% and 25.6%;Adverse reaction rate of GITS group was lower than SR group(P0.05).Conclusion Nifedipine GITS has a good antihypertensive effect,less adverse reaction and more effective than nifedipine SR.
