Abstract
Objective To compare the application value of MRV and MRI in the early diagnosis of cerebral venous thrombosis. Methods 32 cases with early cerebral venous thrombosis in our hospital from March 2011 to June 2013 were selected for this study, and all the patients were divided into experimental group and control group at randomly. The control group was diagnosed by Philips 3.0T MRI machine and the experimental group was diagnosed by 2D-PC MRV.The diagnosis rates between the two groups was compared. Results Among the 32 patients diagnosed by MRI and MRV,15 cases were diagnosed with transverse sinus thrombosis,7 cases with sigmoid sinus thrombosis,6 cases with superior sagittal sinus thrombosis and 4 cases with straight sinus thrombosis.12 cases in control group of 16 patients in early cerebral venous thrombosis formation were diagnosed by MRI SE sequence scans with confirmed cerebral venous thrombosis.4 patients with acute early cerebral venous thrombosis were missed by MRI scan and diagnosed by MRV later, the diagnosis rate of MRI was 75%.16 cases in experimental group of 16 patients in early cerebral venous thrombosis formation were diagnosed by MRV and the diagnosis rate was 100.0%.The diagnosis rates of the two groups were significantly different(P0.05). Conclusion Compared to MRI diagnosis, the diagnosis rate of MRV in early diagnosis of cerebral venous thrombosis is higher, thus MRV is a noninvasive and ideal clinical method.MRV associated with MRI can be used as the ideal way of early diagnosis of cerebral venous thrombosis, which is worthy of further promotion in clinical work.
