Abstract

By using correlation analysis and path analysis,the author analyzed the main characters correlation of upland cotton and the selection effect of yield.The results showed that,fruit beginning height has significant correlation with fruit branch numbers.Fruit section beginning has a very significant positive correlation with fruit beginning high,single boll weight and 100 seeds weight,single boll weight and fiber yield have very significant negative correlation;fiber yield and lint yield have a significant positive correlation,100 seeds weight refers to the negative correlation with lint yield at the significant level.Path analysis showed that,fiber yield can be applied directly to the choice of lint yield,other properties cannot be directly used for the choice of lint yield.9 planting plant traits on the choice effect of lint yield : fiber yieldgrowth periodfruit branch numbersfruit section beginningthe boll numberfruit beginning height100 seeds weightsingle boll weight plant height.
