Problems and Development Countermeasures of the Cultivation of Elite Athletes in Universities

This article uses literature review,expert interview,questionnaire,logical analysis and mathematical statistics and other research methods,studies the existing cultivation problems of the basketball,track and field,identification of high level athletes in table tennis athletes and sports training that are affirmed to recruit by Ministry of Education in 2012.After the contrast analysis with the American University system of athletes training,the results show that the current China curriculum system of cultivating excellent athletes is not perfect;the problems of lack of funds,single source;contradiction between learning and training are serious;China Universities Leadership should put greater emphasis on strength,raise awareness,and play a positive role in society;promote college sports industrialization;adjust the competition system,improve the level of competition,correctly handle the relationship between training and cultural learning.
