Relationships between Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor and Matrix Metalloproteinase-9 with Bronchial Asthma

Bronchial asthma is a kind of chronic airway inflammation disease,mainly characterized by airway inflammation and airway remodeling.Recurrent asthma seriously affected children′s growth and quality of life.The overexpression of vascular endothelial growth factor and matrix metalloproteinase-9 have close relationships with airway inflammation and airway remodeling.This article is to make a summary about the relationship between the expression of vascular endothelial growth factor and matrix metalloproteinase-9 and the pathogenesis of bronchial asthma.
