Abstract
The methods of gas-based fluid drilling mainly include the pure gas drilling, mist drilling, foam drilling and the aerated drilling. As for these ways, there are big differences in gas-liquid flow rate,gas-liquid ratio, flowing behavior of the annular, and the adaptability to the formation, furthermore, the responding measures and the dealing results of encountering complex conditions are also different.Based on the method analysis and the field practice, this paper systematically analyses the conversion process used for encountering the complex conditions in the gas-based fluid drilling, and introduces the practical and effective processes and methods to solve the field problems. In addition, this paper provides the practical conditions using the conversion process of gas-based fluid drilling in TABNAK-3 well of Iran.
