Abstract

Fifteen Sorghum Sudan grass hybrids that were random combined with four grain sorghum hybrids were companed with sweet sorghum hybrids that had been popularized in production. The resuits showed that the production capacity of Sorghum Sudan hybrids used as fodder was lower than sweet sorghum hybrids, but better in some aspects, such as early maturing, high quality, etc. Some hybrids were betler than sweet sorghum hybrids in production capacity. Diurnal production capacity of dry matter and green parts of Sorghum Sudan hybrids were higher than “TianZa 2” 21.1% and 41.2% hybrid respectively because of the maximum hybrid vigor. The law of dry matter accumulation and distribution of Sorghum Sudan grass were equal to those of sweet sorghum hybrids. The practices of retaining tillow, cuting repeatedly, feeding fish or large livestocks. It could with fodder were sugyested, be used as dry fodder, silage and green fodder. The nutritive composition of dry grass was better than Sudan grass. In order to improve quality and increase output, the Sudan grass might be improved. It would get well effect.
