Abstract
The gas temperature profiles of honeycomb monolith in natural gas catalytic combustion burner were investigated. As the reaction zone inside the catalyst ended at about 10 mm from entrance of the monolith, length of the monolith of 20 mm was used.Since combustion was likely to be unstable in the case of high heat strength,in order to lower temperature of the mixture gas in the chamber before entrance of the monoliths,non-catalytic monoliths of 20 mm long were installed before the catalytic monoliths. The results showed that the combustion became stable.
