Abstract
The Wuman group under the rule of the Song Imperial Dynasty inhabited the east of Tubo and the north of the Dali Kingdom and was in the process of evolution towards a Tibetan-Burmese-language-speaking group in the early modern times.Because the main threat to the Song Imperial Dynasty came from the north,it carried out a policy of appeasement towards the Wuman group and there were frequent exchanges of tributes and gifts between them.All this led to a friendly political and economic relationship between the two,which was of great significance to the stability of the southwest border region of the Song Imperial Dynasty and the development of the Wuman group.
