Abstract
Objective: To investigate the effects of Huoxue Fumai injection(HXFMI,活血复脉注射液) on vasoactive substance, blood platelet activation and platelet aggregation in rat models with acute blood stasis (血瘀). Methods: The rat model with acute blood stasis was established by adnephrin injection and excitation of icy water. The rats were randomly divided into seven groups. The effects of HXFMI on blood plasma adnephrin, noradnephrin, atrial natriuretic polypeptide(ANP), endothelin, blood platelet activation, platelet aggregation and platelet adhensiveness were observed. Results: HXFMI could depress ectogenic content of adnephrin(adrenalin), maintain or elevate plasma concentration of ANP, reduce plasma endothelin, inhibit platelet aggregation and platelet adhesiveness(P0.05 or P0.01). Conclusion: HXFMI is able to improve the status of blood stasis in an organism by lowering adrenalin content, inhibiting platelet aggregation and adhesiveness, reducing plasma concentration of endothelin and elevating ANP.
